WEEK 9 Lecture Series with Nexus

This day we had a lecture series with the Nexus. I learned a lot from the activities they prepared. It makes me think of the clearer idea and vision of tour start-up ideas. The first thing we did is doing the How Might We statement where we put all the questions and statements that we think are the problems or concerns of the customer. After that, we select the best statement so that we can have a problem statement. Later on in the activity, I learned the various reason behind our statement problem through the activity where we need to provide the why with different levels. It’s nice since it makes the problem statement have a clear reason why is that the problem. After that is we had some value preposition activity which I find very interesting since there is the customer value proposition and the creator proposition. So we did some activities which help us understand more our value proposition with our start-up ideas.

WEEK 8 Working on Updates

I’m back guys after so many days of preparation for the midterm pitching. With this, there are certain points in our start-up ideas where we need to do it thoroughly. Which is the customer validation. In this week what we are doing is more on planning what to do next with the panel’s feedback on customer validation that living in a subdivision. It took us days to set a plan since some of my time is working so we barely catch up. After the decision we made we tried to interview and gather data of some households that living in a subdivision as well. With this, I learned that it’s not that easy to do some start-ups like this since we're in a pandemic but my team did our very best to reach the customers for validation. So far that’s the update for now.

WEEK 7 PITCHING & FUND RAISING

Hello readers it's me again Noven, and today's blog is about my learning experience in preparation for pitching as well as how we can get some funding for our start-up.     Let's talk about the reason for funding, it is because  to purchase equipment, rent offices, and hire staff and most likely to grow fast with your business idea. in our team, we decided to start from our own money as capital investment and we are also open for those who want to invest in our business idea. Since having investors in your business means you can expand and developed more of our services. Though you can't easily find investors since investors also will check your over-all business before they put their trust and money.     We haven't done the pitching yet I will share with you what I have learned as we prepare for the upcoming pitching. We follow some strategies that we think can help us tell a unique story with our business. Here are some.    ...

Let me share with you our Business Model Canvass.           Business Model Canvas (BMC) is a proven tool/model used in various settings to help companies, individuals align their activities to what creates value to them. It is a visual chart with 9 different components. Later on, I will share with you my thoughts about the different components as well as giving an example of our business idea.  As a tool, it looks at these nine areas that span across strategy, finance, operations, resources, channels, revenue streams, and cost structure.       Key Partners . WEEK 5 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Image
It's me again Noven. Today I'll be posting a blog about what I have learned from last week's discussion which is IP (Intellectual Property) . So what is IP?  Intellectual property (IP) refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names, and images used in commerce. It is an asset that any person can own, sell, or license. It requires protection from theft and unauthorized used.          I also learned that IPs and Universities are connected. These connections are important in the sense that students from universities are talented enough to have an invention and it is just right that their property and right is being protected with the law related to IP. The following are the factors:        1.  Inventions developed in the university are confidential information (whether it is basic or  applied research)       2....

Week 4 Team Formation

Image
With the series of tests like the 16-Personality Test and  Berkeley Innovation Index Test , we had with my team in the 1st week. We came up to forming our team base on the type of personality we had to make the work easier and comfortable for us to do the individual task. Later on, in this article, I will share with you the members of my Team as well as their roles in the team and how we assign each role.     The first one we have here is Jan Le Roi Racho , he is the hustler in my team. We base this one on his personality test as well as our observation of him. The hustler often conversationally gifted and nauseatingly charming, the hustler has a network to rival that of a wealthy suburban mum. Hustlers are the key to selling a product to the masses, as their way with words could get anyone on board with their vision.       The next one is Homzelle Libanta , she is the hacker of our team. We choose her as the hacker since she is a serious...
