WEEK 7 PITCHING & FUND RAISING
Hello readers it's me again Noven, and today's blog is about my learning experience in preparation for pitching as well as how we can get some funding for our start-up.
Let's talk about the reason for funding, it is because to purchase equipment, rent offices, and hire staff and most likely to grow fast with your business idea. in our team, we decided to start from our own money as capital investment and we are also open for those who want to invest in our business idea. Since having investors in your business means you can expand and developed more of our services. Though you can't easily find investors since investors also will check your over-all business before they put their trust and money.
We haven't done the pitching yet I will share with you what I have learned as we prepare for the upcoming pitching. We follow some strategies that we think can help us tell a unique story with our business. Here are some.
• We begin with a “hook” (something they don’t know)
• Convince them of the problem
• Introduce your solution
• Will be showing them how it works and the processes
• Prove how big the opportunity is:
• Market size
• Competition can be beaten
• Show timing is right
• Give them confidence you’re the right team
• Close with the exciting next steps
So far we are still in the stage of preparation but we keep that in mind so that we can able to perform well in pitching. Maybe judges can find it not so good but at least we did our best. True happiness is that when you give your best even though luck is not on your side.
