Hello readers! It's me again. I am Noven S. Villaber, a 3rd-year Electrical Engineering student at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines. This vlog will contain my 2nd-week entry with our Start-up ideas.
So this week is that we did some validation of our ideas and to get the perspective of the future customer also by asking some questions regarding their problems or the common problems they encounter in their household that is related to their appliances and electricity.
Together with my team, we came up with the 3 ideas for our start-up. With the ideas we have, we interviewed 5 people to know what problem they encounter and what we can improve with our start-up ideas.
We interviewed Mr. Senados, Mr. Abasolo, Ms. Fabre, MS. Julian, and Mr. Dagoc. In this vlog, I will share with you what I have learned this includes the problem we got from their answers during the interview.
I have learned that the common problems they encounter are as follows:
1. Repair shop is far from their home or household.
2. It takes many hours or even a day for an appliance to be repaired so they have to wait or go back to the shop after it is repaired.
3. It's very inconvenient for them to bring the appliances to the shop especially that the pandemic is still going on.
4. No one in the house has the knowledge to fixed appliances or fixed electric wire problems.
In the interview also that most of the appliances that they usually need some repair are television, radio, washing machine, electric fan, aircon, refrigerator, and wire connection in the household.
So as we observe in their problem it hits the solution with the number 3 ideas which provides service through one call for home services that will be fixed electric type appliances and related things. The target market that we set for this kind of venture is those people that are far from the repair shop and those people that want less hassle and convenient way to repair their appliances or any electricity-related problem in the households. (Electricity problem means that improper connection of wiring or there is a bad connection or the malfunction of the bulb).
Let me summarize the process we did. First, is we look for ideas next is we validate them through our future customers, next is that we identify the problems, base on their answer, and lastly is we look for solutions that can help them.
That would be all for this 2nd week. I hope readers you got something from my vlog. Thank you and Godspeed.
